Charan the Tepig is a Bomber Alchemist. I originally was thinking of making her some kind of big strong barbarian or wrestler, but I didn't feel inspired by either of those ideas, so I decided to take it in a different direction. Pigs are incredibly intelligent animals and I decided to lean into this by making her might not come solely from being strong, she will get stronger as she evolves but also she has the brains to know how to best apply power to be most effective by concentrating power into an explosion!

Charan is a Chinese name: Cha meaning: "Beautiful/Colorful" and Ran meaning: "Light, Fire, Ignition"

Charan is the supplier of a secret rebel group on a small island city that was once able to operate close to independently till their mainland empire remembered they exist and brought down their army on the island to make them remember who they serve. Under strict martial law ordinary citizens can't get their hands on real weapons, so while working in an apothecary as a front, Charan is able to get her hooves on many seemingly ordinary materials which she has the resources and knowledge to figure out how to distill elements from in order to create her own magic explosives.

Charan feels she must do what's necessary, but is also proud of her weapons. Her signature is working in bright vibrant colors into her bombs so that even if the empire doesn't know who her true identity is, they know it came from her, and she loves to see the effects of her explosions from a distance like a Maestro conducting a symphony of booms...after all...ART IS AN EXLPOSION!


Being magic bombs, they can be more than just Fire and Death. She can charge bombs with different elements like Electricity or Ice, or to have different effects like Bombs that cover an area in sticky substances, bombs that burst into a solid Ice barrier to block off passages, bombs that deliver a burst healing effect, etc... Anything can be a Bomb!
