Raiyuu the Froakie is a Ninja Kabuki Actor.
I was originally just going to make him another straight forward Ninja because that's obviously what Greninja is based on right...Except not exactly...Greninja is a reference to the Ninja Character Jiraiya who was famously portrayed in Kabuki Theater! So I decided Raiyuu is here playing 5-D Chess; He is a Ninja who plays a Ninja character in a theater so people don't think he's a real ninja, cause if they see him doing something Ninja like they will think it's for a performance, or he could wear a black stage-hand suit and people will ignore him because people are conditioned to ignore their existence.
The character Jiraiya's name means "Young Thunder"
Raiyuu's name means "Thunder Play" referencing his role in portraying the character on a stage, but also is a reference to the stage related saying "Stealing ones Thunder" which actually originated from another theater recreating the same stage effect which Shakespeare used to portray the sound of Thunder.
