Jam is a Grookey Taiko drummer and a practitioner of Onmyodo (The Way of Yin and Yang) An ancient system of magic and divination involving the theory of Yin and Yang, and the 5 phase elements of Wu Xing: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood which she channels with her 5 drums.

These Drums do more than mean that just elemental effects. She could bang the fire drum a bunch of times and create tides of fire form the sound, but their true powers are more subtle than that, and not meant to represent the physical material of their element but the interconnected nature of all things, allowing her to:
