A lovecraftian hive-mind hellbent on conquering worlds and spreading its influence as far as it can reach.
And it will stop at nothing to get its tendrils on every world it comes across.

The Mind Flayer is a creation of the Duffer Brothers, but they've done pretty much nothing with it so I figured I'd expand on it more and incorporate it into some of the more lore-driven projects I'm doing.
