Kangi was just an ordinary plush toy until she was given to Princess Sugar Chaos by a filly during Hearth's Warming Eve festivities after conquering Pony Village. Upon seeing the plush toy, she thought it looked too thin, so she stuffed it a little more—perhaps too much—and then brought it to life, naming it Kangi.

Kangi isn't a fighter; she's a pacifist. She prefers to solve problems by talking over tea and cookies. Kangi is also Sugar Chaos's fourth advisor.

When Princess Sugar Chaos visited one of the conquered villages, it was during Hearth's Warming Eve. She learned about the festival, and a small, chubby foal gave her a plush kangaroo doll wearing a blue dress and a pink bow. Thinking it was too thin, she decided to stuff it, but she added so much that it tore parts of the fabric. Since she had no friends, she brought it to life and named it Kangi.

Kengi became Sugar Chaos's best friend, spending time with her. When she couldn't be with Sugar Chaos, she would play with the children. When she saw someone fighting, she would intervene and try to resolve the problem with words. She didn't get along well with General Cakinion, as he preferred to solve problems with force, while she preferred words. She never participated in the Candy War. When the war ended, Sugar Chaos appointed her the fourth royal advisor.
