jokes aside, Clive is the protagonist of FF16. the game pretends to be a game of thrones take on Final Fantasy, and it all starts with his shitty mother who kicks off the plot.
as for Clive himself, he is a Shield of Rosaria, blessed by the Pheonix, and keeps getting called Mythos for some reason, and watched his brother Joshua, who is also the Eikon of the Phoenix and overall good boy, die to a second Eikon of fire.
the entire plot that follows is chasing this second eikon of fire, and the mysteries around it's existence.
oh and you get to play as that second Eikon of Fire, Ifrit, for some reason. what reason is that? play FF16 to find out.
