Posing for a picture has never really been something I've done a lot of in my life. Not necessarily because I'm shy but because I never enjoyed the false smiles that accompanied it. While I'm sure the feelings were genuine, the smiles never quite reached that level of genuineness that made it all feel real.

As such, I sometimes prefer pictures taken in the moment, with the consent of everyone present, of course. When smiles and laughter are front and center and people don't have time to decide, 'Am I good enough?', when the fact of the matter is that they are.

Just a little idle thought. What would you say you prefer? A moment's preparation or a sudden encapsulation? Both are legitimate in their own ways.
