Hmm, that's a rather complicated backstory. I should make a comic about it sometime.

In short: Nid had a boyfriend, Jolteon, who wasn't the best character. Even though Jolteon himself was full of prickly fur and studded bracelets, he ordered Nid to have her horn cut off because he didn't want to be stung, even though he himself stung Nid quite often.

Nid had her horn removed painfully, and shortly after, Jolteon left her because he thought she looked pathetic without it.

Although Nid recovered from this situation, her horn never grew back, symbolizing the psychological wound~
