Her real name is Angel, but most people know her as Anubis. She works as a mercenary in a modern setting, using her own style of mixed martial arts. She also possesses an ability called Bullet Sense. Whenever a bullet, or other projectile, is coming her way, the ability automatically activates, giving her a moment of enhanced reaction time and movement speed, last just long enough for her to dodge the projectile. This ability is how she's managed to stay alive with a melee focused combat style. She has no control over the ability, nor does she know why she has it. She discovered the ability when she got caught in the crossfire of a store robbery. She had already been fond of studying martial arts at the time, so she took the opportunity to take down the robber. She ultimately became a mercenary, where her ruthless efficiency (and her passing resemblance to a certain god of death from one human mythos) earned her the name Anubis. There's even a rumor that she can tear a man's heart right out of his chest. When questioned, she simply states that she's never tried.

Wanted to draw an anubian jackal, or something along those lines. While doing research, I learned that the species Anubis is based on is actually closer to a wolf than a jackal. In the end, she just wound up being ambiguous canine. I like how this came out, though I feel like I've drawn this outfit before...
