HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
As promised, Hyembs the Dragon now has her official reference sheet updated! Still wanted to keep the silly nature of it, but now? Her setting should be explained MUCH better. Thank you all for sticking around! This year was pretty rough on me, so I thank you all for your support haha.
>>Hyembs the Dragon can freely change size as she's made of a candy-like substance that can also be considered to be goo or slime. This allows her also to freely change forms and makes her extremely durable. She also has a very distinct weakness to anything flammable.
JUST WHO EXACTLY IS, THE HYEMBS?: "Hyembs the Dragon" is about a pink, airheaded dragon who is the self-proclaimed defender of the massive fantasy city known as "Grandiopolis." the home of the tiny and small folk surrounded by gigantic and dangerous Kaiju. Hyembs the Dragon was created by one of the original legendary heroes, who was a powerful wizard who sealed his creations away to eventually be awoken when the world was in peril. Hyembs the Dragon would arise centuries later by the Kobold Knights who managed to shatter her seal under Grandiopolis. She would make this place her home, and even more so makes sure King Oldbeard doesn't destroy his own kingdom! Go fourth Hyembs the Dragon and protect the realm and those who live in it! (Hyembs the Dragon ALSO doubles fully as my Internet Persona, but she is still at the end of the day, a character.)
>>Hyembs the Dragon is a physical fighter as most of her abilities come from hand-to-hand combat. Any magic she casts usually enhances her strength in her arms, feet and or her tail. She has no abilities that allows her to cast "breath" weapons, but she can enchant her bite or even her horns. Same with being able to fire her various "spikes" on her body as projectiles and she can easily grapple foes and close the distance. Despite her tiny wings she can leap large distances and can "fly" so to speak.
>>Hyembs' personality is noted to be sometimes as "airheaded" or "absentminded", but in all reality she still can have a heart of solid gold when it comes to protecting those smaller than her. She avoids any casual destruction of buildings and will always aim to send Kaiju away from Grandiopolis and fight in the aggressor's domain. Despite Hyembs' cute appearance, she can occasionally be vulgar or say things that one may find very strange.
>>Hyembs' home is located under Grandiopolis with the various Kobold Knights. She does not rule this domain and is merely a citizen who helps the Kobolds mine ore and materials with her powerful digging claws. Being a hero is usually something that is self-proclaimed and her arrival was foretold by Kobold prophecy. Her draconian treasure horde usually consists of unpainted plastic models, old collector edition video games, and random pieces of "junk" from the "old world" as when it comes to gold she has absolutely nothing.

Correct, usually going to her tail or becoming more or less "hyper-dense" to properly compensate for this haha. As I imagined the smaller, she becomes the more durable she is, but the larger she is, the more damage she can dish out. It's been an idea I've had for a while, but nothing too concrete yet. Although, the only thing remaining canon for sure is that she's able to properly change sizes, that way it can also be easier for myself and others to draw her if need-be
The most lovable derg for the beginning of the New Year, Hyembs is just so flipping adorable and wonderfully heartwarming these artworks are while being presented through your stunning style! I am just adoring how wonderfully wholesome your characters are here, and I am so flipping stoked to seeing alot more of your brilliantly hand drawn works like it in the future! Keep doing great!
