On Rum's ship, things have changed since she rescued wayward schoolteacher Caitlin Manning, otherwise known as 'Coke.' Instead of the galley, Coke found her way into the engine room and promptly made it her own. She converted a still into a steam engine, improving the ship and earning her the grudging respect of the crew.
