The story takes place 43 years after the events of the first film. This one changes from a humans Perspective to a Cheerful Doberman named Bubbles and a gothic Cat named Edger.

The Tragic Death of DJ: 3 weeks after the events of the first Film of Monster House, while Djs father went out for a drink, an unexpected robbery took place in Djs house. The robber remorselessly kills Djs mother, making DJ furious and attacks the robber with all his strength injuring the robber badly in the process. Bautista unfortunately the robber gained the Upper Hand and Stabbed the poor child to death. All DJ could do was watch in pain as robber took everything valuable in the house and get away without leaving any traces behind since the killer was wearing gloves and a mask to hide his identity.

Cause of DJ’s Monster House resurrection and transformation: tragically and unfairly killed by the unknown serial killer inside Djs own house along with the neglection of his father and abuse from bully’s at school, this lead to his spirit possession of the building and unintentionally going on a rampage and devouring his own friends Chowder and Jenny by complete accident while trying to find the robber responsible for his demise. Due to this outburst DJ immediately comes back to senses and realizes what he has become. Filled with Anger, Remorse, Sorrow and Regret he runs away from the neighborhood hiding in the most remote abandoned area Possible for the past 40 years. Only attacks when anyone who Provokes him or maybe Urban explores due intense urges to feed on human life.

As for the Killer, he still roams around as a divorced father in his 60s, his family disowned him after finding out the harsh truth, he’s basically dead to them. Still lives in Mayvile but never got caught by the police due to the lack of evidence and they simply took it as a homicide by the father and made the father pay for the outlaws crime.

Jenny and Chowders Ghosts still remain in the overworld and they have tried to communicate with DJ but He just pushes them away out of fear of hurting them and the guilt of his past mistakes.



Due to he fact that Animals have different senses and perspectives apart from humans, in this world All Cats and Dogs have the ability to sense and communicate with spirits while human and other creatures can’t, Bubbles and Edgar see the Merged Spirit of DJ as a house/human hybrid entity while seeing Chowder and Jenny as Regular Ghosts.
