I had the pleasure of creating the following anthropomorphic animal with Hero Forge to usher in the year 2026:
Nevio, the Red Deer.
Nevio is derived from the Indo-European word for "new."
The Deutsche Wildtier Stiftung (German Wildlife Foundation) has chosen the red deer as the Animal of the Year 2026; moreover, the red deer symbolizes majesty and nature.
The anthropomorphic deer's underwear is red because the Romans saw the color red as a symbol of life and strength and therefore had the custom of wearing red underwear. The vest is green and white, because green stands for hope, renewal, growth, health, and new beginnings, and white stands for purity, peace, tranquility, and new beginnings.
The plant staff naturally symbolizes fertility, the key the closing of the old year and the opening of the new, the hourglass time, and the bamboo floor signifies that, especially in Asia, bamboo is a universal symbol of prosperity, happiness, and advancement.
May the strength of the stag guide us through the year 2026.
