An update/redo of two old takes on the whole "Sonic.EXE" idea i've had for a while now. Minic and Fantoche!
"Minus Sonic" (said like "mimic") aims for an EXE concept that sticks within the sonic lore. Being born from negative chaos energy, he's the manifestation of everything sonic despises. He also ended up taking on a rough appearance similar to super sonic. With the ability to absorb energy from the chaos emeralds and leave them as dead, empty husks, minic seeks to show his strength by any means, even if that means taking out anyone in his way. Should anyone dare question his power or call him unworthy, he's quick to put them in their place.
Fantoche on the other hand goes for a more literal approach to the EXE concept. Fantoche itself is an entity (aka the player, represented by the eye and puppet strings) who can take control of any video game character they wish and make them do things they want. Basically, much like how we control video game characters when we play the games they're in (usually ran through an executable file, yknow, AN EXE), we're making them do what WE want instead, almost like possessing their body and mind. Fantoche takes that idea and makes it literal, going for a puppet master forcing their puppet to dance for them kind of approach.
