Story
Beams piercing through the clouds,
The desert solemn and pondering,
Our dragoness' gentle flight sounds,
It breaks against barren wandering.
Where flight was aloft, in sky's gold hue,
She descends, where others roam,
Fewer rays keep dreams, no water blue,
A land of hazy mirages and aged tome.
But her light comes through, restoring,
Banish the fallen, weep for her friends,
A troubled past with spear and sword,
Now returned to dragons in the end.
Triumphant, the white dragoness was,
The thieves are dormant, once afeared,
Hope renewed, a home for tender claws,
Her friend now sharing joyful tears,
New rays of light, they keep so dear.

I have to say, this piece spoke volumes more than I expected. Even though I didn't get it upgraded to a full size illustration, the poetic "Descent" meant so much. I leaned more on the rays of light though here. The unique way it felt. I love it so much and am very grateful to Ashes for it. . .
There is some deep lore here with a very dear friend of mine, whose entire OC story relied upon some evil faction of dragon hunters. And... well, this poem follows what I believe the result would be.
She knows who she is. ;D
