2025 has now come to an end. To be honest, I don’t think It was a good year.
I first started my GoldDragonCat/GoldGracat back in 2015 which is over 10 years ago! Time flies! Even though I’ve been around that long, I feel I haven’t gotten anywhere with my art which is why I haven’t done a 10 year celebration. I’ve been unable to make up my mind about my artstyle and kept constantly changing it. I’ve also been feeling that I’m not good enough in art. The rise of AI Art has almost destroyed my motivation to draw as well.
In June, one of my cats Pebbles suddenly had a failing heart and potentially had to be put to sleep. We gave her tablets that would help her. I went on hiatus to spend my last moments with her at my parents house. Eventually in July she gave up and stopped eating and drinking and it was sadly time to say goodbye to her.
In September, I let my fear get the better of me and stupidly fell for the “someone is impersonating you on Bluesky” message on Bluesky and got scammed while trying to get my account back after it got hacked (what I thought at the time). At some point, I’m going to write about this incident and what my thought process was, once I feel ready to do so.
Though on the positive side. Another reason for not doing art a lot is real life obligations since I’ve moved into my own place, work and studying for my driver’s theory test. I passed my second driver’s theory test this year! My practical test will be in May. Though I fear I’ll be like Spongebob.
2025 is over, I hope 2026 will be better, though it probably won’t just like the rest of the 2020’s. I can’t believe were already halfway through it.
