An old MLP OC of mine I repurposed for Sideways Equestria. During Nightmare Night, she dresses as a witch.
Originally, she was going to be a G4 rendition of Pumpkin Tart. However, I remembered this Halloween lollipop item I used to draw as a kid and I decided to make it her CutieMark.
Backstory to the Lollipop: I loved Pokémon and Neopets as a child (Who am I kidding? I still very much do!), and I wanted to make my own virtual pet/card game with these super fun items. I made three lollipops; a purple one, a green one, and an orange one, and I called them "Fizzy Jack-O-Lollies." The purple one was grape, the green one was sour apple or lime (50/50 flavor chance), and the orange one was meant to be dreamsicle (or creamsicle, which is orange and vanilla cream.) I remember I was at my grandma's work when I came up with the name for these. I have fond memories of drawing, writing, and cutting up magazines and catalogs at my grandma's workplace to paste together makeshift trading cards. I'd bring the cards to school and distribute them amongst my friends, and we'd pretend they were from my super awesome virtual pet game, "Swachi Petz."
Those were some really good times.
Anyways, I get warm, fuzzy, nostalgic feelings when I think of Pumpkin Fizz. I like this OC a lot.
I also used to have a story somewhere about why she turns into a pumpkin after midnight and back into a pony at sunrise... something about a jealous sister giving her a poison joke potion?
