Following the fall of the Covenant, one renowned Fleetmaster, Hurai 'Mayamee, became disillusioned by the feeling of war. The Covenant had been used for years to blind the Sangheili, he realised, and now that they were free, he wondered what else had been hidden from them.
And so, he gathered a crew of military dropouts and curious adventurers, as well as his own grand niece and nephew, Awrel and Jayli, and set out to explore. The Disquisitors remain a neutral party, simply wandering the cosmos and gathering information, questioning traditions and cultural norms, and working to strengthen all of the known sapient species among the stars.
Jayli 'Heyam: "She was the most unexpected of any of them. Her white armour shone, her tail flicked, and the warmth in her tone did not match the hardiness of her stance."
Removed from Covenant/Sangheili Military Service because: Even when she was allowed in combat, she was refused the 'ai suffix despite being a very talented swordswoman.
Awrel 'Ciyanai: "He was tall- massive, really. The way he held his rifle made him seem laid-back, and the casual way he stood made him seem calm, but I couldn't help but to notice the way his hips arched to me, accentuating his sword. Well-earned, I presume."
Removed from Covenant/Sangheili Military Service because: He is here to support his half-sister, Jayli.
Tyrou 'Thesai: "One glance told me that I didn't like him. He was clearly too skinny for his heavy armour, and the way he glared, the way he pushed out his chest and tried his best to stand taller than me made him look full of pride, not power."
Removed from Covenant/Sangheili Military Service because: Repeated incidents of harassing female Sangheili on his previous ship. He's legally allowed to, but the hostile work environment eventually had him removed.
Mehrava Zisa Kana:"Her armour was pitted and scarred from hundreds of battles- or hundreds of slaughters, if the legends were correct. She didn't have eyes, but when she faced me, I felt a burning glare, hotter than the plasma from the cannon she held."
Removed from Covenant/ Military Service because: Repeatedly massacring her own teammates during her legendary tantrums, which can last days and result in the total destruction of everything in her vicinity.
Geyrono Zisa Gono: "He was new, young for his kind. He did not arch his back and flex his spines the way the more threatening ones did, and he did not seem to mind. His Lekgolo were vibrating quietly, as if purring."
Removed from Covenant/ Military Service because: Split from his bond brother before his bond brother was ready to create a brother. As a result, Geyrono was "born" too small and weak, and his bond brother was killed on their first mission. This traumatised Geyrono.
