I like seeing your warmups and personal art. It's fun to see how you experiment with things. And there's something about this one that stands out even more than the others artistically that I can't quite put my finger on.
There's definitely something about the colors and how you're contrasting the lightness and warmth of the yellow/orange against the darkness and cool of the blue beyond just the composition (though the blue doesn't feel that cool either - like it's a relative coolness but still overall warm? It's really interesting). The flayed ends on the letters are also a nice touch.
Sorry if that's all a weirdly positive comment to put on vent art. I really like this piece.

the colors are a bit different than i would usually do because I used a gradient map. the original was black and white / greyscale but I ended up liking the gradient map version more than the original

That really is how it feels sometimes. This is me thinking about what we have to do in order to change things for the better, and how many people around us don't care, or will actively turn hostile if we try to... It can feel overwhelming.

This piece is beautiful in every way, from the messaging to the high contrast. I just love the bright, optimistic colors resisting the darkness.
