This is a picture I drew for a Savage Worlds game I ran set in Edgar Rice Burroughs's world of Pellucidar. The premise of Pellucidar is that the Earth is hollow and there's another world on the inward-facing surface containing dinosaurs and other creatures that have long been extinct outside, the Earth's molten core serving as Pellucidar's sun. The players were explorers from the outer world. Sar-Kar is a horib, one of a race of savage snake-men native to Pellucidar. Though initially hostile, Sar-Kar eventually became the players' friend and ally, serving as their guide in the strange, prehistoric, subterranean world of Pellucidar. He is shown here holding the Lee-Enfield .303 rifle the players taught him how to use. He also carries a Colt .45 revolver. Background by Shutterstock.
