No, no. no. no shots. let people buy as they need where they can.
just for me, and my family, we are so few that I realized something in general, not a criticism of anyone nor of Costcos nor buying in bulk, just how buying a lot can lead to losses--
if someone buys a big thing of meat, or fruit at Costco, the price for that meat/fruit will likely beat a regular store. So much that people might buy more than they need, lose some food to spoiling or other losses, and it will still be more economical for them to bulk buy and spoil, vs more efficiently eating and finishing what they have if it costs them more money. What no one sees is that there isn't just a money cost to food or other things, there's a resource cost. And losing bulk buys to anything costs everyone some amount of resources we can't get back, no matter how much we spend. It's not simply one thing is good or all of another thing are bad, just that we need to start seeing invisible resource prices along with money prices in what we consume--and let fall to waste. v_v
I try and mostly succeed in not losing food :( not enough though.
