The female wolf hadn't heard what became of her husband, the thick fat of the bear's paw pad drowning out all sound. She was pressed under the bear's weight for almost an hour, before the bear finally got up from her chair to walks to an unknown to the wolf room of the house, every step pushing the wolf deeper against the pad, to a point she thought she was becoming a part of it.
