This large display just inside the zoo entrance welcomes visitors with a preview of the Magical Forest within. As you might imagine this was a popular backdrop for visitors to take photos as they entered. I was lucky to get a shot without anyone else in the photo.
I shot these photos at the “Wild Lights” special event at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas. Asian lantern sculptures are scattered throughout the zoo. The theme for 2025 was "Journey Through a Magical Forest"
