This section of Wild Lights had an African theme to it. The pyramid in the background is guarded by two giant cobras. The body of one of them can be seen behind the hippos.
I shot these photos at the “Wild Lights” special event at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas. Asian lantern sculptures are scattered throughout the zoo. The theme for 2025 was "Journey Through a Magical Forest"
