working on adding hair and various character creator elements to my game, i have settled on a pretty decent system for adding character hair that should work with all of the future skull types based on species. it involves having several static "base" meshes, and several hair cards that overlap the character's face to give the impression of bangs, chops, or other side-hair things.
it is honestly awesome how quickly i was able to change hairstyles after making just a few hair cards and bases. next on the list of things to add is definitely still hands in the 1st person view, but in the future i will show off the character editor.
