Kelman is learning to live with monocular vision. He's trying. Did you know that losing an eye can lead to problems with coordination, distance, and the size of objects? I recently read an article by a girl who lived with this; it takes at least a year to get used to it. And I imagined how difficult it must have been for such a proud Kelman to adjust to his new life. Incidentally, in the comic, Havier is indirectly responsible for Kelman's injury. Even though Kelman was constantly hanging around him, asking to go along with the latest raid by local drug dealers, Havier blamed himself. Don't worry about Kelman; as you remember, he'll get used to it. Sammy Davis did it too!!
