Tillie went to reread her first volume of Love Hina for the first time in YEARS since sophomore year of high school, and when she opened it, an old school photo slipped out.

I've never seen her smile so quickly as she told me she remembered using it as a bookmark back then; how Alyssa had scribbled the little bats on it before handing it over like it was nothing. Tillie laughed and said she’d have to ask Lyss if she still has the photo she gave her.

I know we see Alyssa all the time, she spends the night with us two or three times a week, but there was something unexpectedly endearing about that moment. Seeing Tillie smile like that, reminded of who Alyssa’s always been to her, felt really special.
