Toriel was in need of money, taking care of a child alone wasn't easy in the human world and being a teacher wouldn't pay all the bills, so one night she answered an ad looking for a singer at a nightclub, it was entirely all humans but she gave it try, before the end of her first night she was a favorite. She was hired and asked to come by and offered enough to pay the bills, but she had to wear a flashy red dress as she performs, it was revealing and tight in places, but she couldn't turn down the offer with good pay and just endured it. She did keep it a secret from her fellow monsters and friends as it was embarrassing, the last thing she wanted was to be seen by anyone she knows especially her child or Sans.
