• Biography: Mattias Mortimer is a member of the evil organization known as the Supreme Forces. He holds the rank of Supreme Margrave alongside his wife Nora Mortimer. He was once an Archbishop serving in the Church of the Holy Light, and he had a dream of making the Clerics of Northshire Abbey stronger than usual, even before their fall in the 1st War. Many were accepting of his proposal and were eager to increase the power of Northshire Abbey’s Brotherhood. At the Abbey, he crossed paths with the Cleric Nora and the two incidentally fell in love. In time, Mattias went as far as to marry Nora at the abbey with Wolfgang Carlyle serving as his best man. His happy life lasted for a long time, roughly 6 years at best. But one faithful day, however, Nora was afflicted with a terminal disease that could not be cured by normal means. In order to ensure his wife survived, he had her frozen in a crystal of holy light that would be lifted until a cure could be discovered. Incidentally, he called upon the light to see if they could heal his wife from her incurable disease, but the light was of little use in healing Nora of her disease, and Mattias grew increasingly desperate to save his beloved wife and in his desperation, turned to the shadow for answers. However, he began to change as he delved into the void to find a way to save his wife. He started to hear the voices of the Old Gods and the more he listened, the more insane he became. But he finally snapped when he came home one day to find his home had been destroyed and his wife Nora no longer crystalized in cryostasis. He found that a quintet of Scarlet Crusaders destroyed his home and already maddened by the Old Gods’ whispers, actively murdered the crusaders without putting them on trial, something his position as Archbishop would’ve required. As a result, Mattias was excommunicated from the light and exiled from the Church of the Holy Light, and the Brotherhood of Northshire Abbey. Yet Mattias was still unable to heal his wife. That is until his old friend Wolfgang Carlyle, now christened the Supreme Archduke, appeared before Mattias and restored his wife Nora, freeing her of her incurable illness permanently. Indebted, Mattias & Nora both joined Wolfgang in the ranks of the Supreme Forces where Mattias wound up receiving the rank of Supreme Margrave. Ever since then, he has been assisting the Supreme Queen in attempting to attain multiversal domination while fighting against those who follow the path of the light. Originally, Mattias was a friendly & caring Archbishop to those who came to him for support. However, after his hunt for a cure for his wife lead him to tragedy, he has since devolved into an evil & ruthless evil man who believes the Naaru should be shunned from society, or more accurately: Wiped out entirely. He has a soft spot for bats, but holds a disdain for the Naaru, believing they rejected him. A most manipulative false prophet.
• Abilities: As his rank of Supreme Margrave would suggest, Mattias Mortimer is below the Supreme Princesses & Supreme Prince. However, Mattias still maintains a strong standing with his rank. As a Dark Archbishop, he is a profound user of dark & black magic. In addition, he has knowledge of necromancy as well, enabling him to call upon undead minions to fight for him when necessary. Overall, Mattias is powerful in magical terms, but he proves to be physically frail, meaning he needs protection from physical fighters. His weapons & magics are as follows.
o Shadow Flame Staff: A staff that resembles a candelabra with shadow flames burning endlessly on the tips, hence its name. This staff can easily inflict burns on enemies and make them hear the whispers of the Old Gods after prolonged exposure.
o Dark Magic: The primary magic of Mattias. With this, he calls upon the powers of the shadows & void to aid him in his battles. Although it has trouble against the light.
o Black Magic: Offensive magic taking on the forms of different elemental power, but with a blackish tinge to them which is most notable with fire, ice, and thunder spells.
o Necromancy: Mattias is able to call upon undead minions to assist him in battle. Primarily, he raises skeletons & zombies, but he has raised ghosts as well.
