Well, take into consideration that when Trixie first showed up, she was starting up a magic show. Then three of the Mane Six started heckling her, and Trixie basically used them as props for her magic show in response. Hardly Trixie's fault the local Village Idiots decided to try out her "Ursa Major-Fighting" skills...
That's a standard thing. Notice the tickets came with a form letter. Twilight's name was on the invite list, and everypony on the list got two tickets as a matter of custom. It's not like Celestia was cackling to herself, "I'll send Twilight a mere TWO tickets, muhaha!" Sheesh, some people are really reaching in their desperate attempts to prove that Celestia's a troll like them.
0 for 5?
I counted the Applejack one myself. And I really like Applejack. She used the rope and outdid her doing it, she just didn't use her hooves.
Rarity she definitely didn't outdo, she just made Rarity look bad, which is not nearly the same as making herself look good and/or graceful.
RD was a weird case. I mean, what was Dash challenging her to? Showing off? In that case Trixie sort of won. If it was speed or the ability to create a rainbow, then she lost. Manipulation of the environment? Kind of up in the air there.
Obviously she lost to Twilight and was totally full of hot air on the Ursa Major/Minor.
I'd give her a 1.5 out of 4 or 1.5 out of 5 counting the cube here.

The way I look at it is, she specifically said, "Anything you can do, I can do better."
I wouldn't say she outdid Applejack's rope tricks; she didn't do any fancy twirling, just tied her up. Definitely not *better*.
And then Rainbow Dash proceeded to spin a windmill, knock holes in 3 or 4 clouds, zoom up to the stratosphere, fly back down through the holes in the clouds, spin the windmill again, and create a rainbow. Trixie then proceeded to not do any of that. All she did was spin Dash around with an already existing rainbow.

Do better, not identical. Like I said, it sort of depends on what Dash's challenge was supposed to be, which was never specified clearly. Also, I kind of count that little storm cloud lightning zap. I must declare that one an overall tie myself. (Let us not forget that taking light, bending it, and somehow using it to create speed enough to whip up a mini twister is fairly impressive either.)
As for Applejack, she did more of a snake charmer bit. Which Applejack could never accomplish, and was in fact mesmerized by while Trixie used the other end of the rope, stuffed an apple in her mouth, and then tied her up. She too lassoed an apple and I think the other things were at least equal to AJ's trick. That plus humiliating her I'd have to say throws that one in favor of Trixie.

Well, Trixie is also not part of the mane cast, and thus a background character, one that we don't even know about her, besides, I like her more then Gilda, you want to talk about a problem character, and besides, Trixie didn't make Fluttershy cry, that's one point to her over Gilda in my book.
