You know what's great about being a coati besides everything? Getting to explore the world so much with nose and tongue, and sometimes you'll do something like find a tiny fairy kangaroo who's embarrassed to come under your attention.
My thanks to
macropus for letting me tower over her. Also for drawing a character who has the complications of, like, clothes, and accessories, and a lot of them. Also fairy wings, which I tried doing by using the luminous pen and tracing outlines rather than make her back even more complicated.
The Fantastic Beasts influence continues to make my eyemask a little more complicated and fun to draw. Also I'm slowly realizing they could add, like, focus and emotion to me just looking around.
I wanted to have the end of Austin's snout do a little S-curve; it's basically all muscle there so can do some unsettling-looking moves. But I haven't got the anatomy basics down well enough to make that clear. Maybe next time.
The background may look like I put no work into it. Actually I did a fair bit, trying to think of colors that would suggest a near and middle background and sky, and not just rely on washing things with ProCreate's grass or forest brushes. Also to use some of what I've found actually reading old comic books and put exciting colors into things. (Granting many of those exciting old comics were also colored mostly by accident.)
