Prior to the death that turned her into the ghost she is, Freya was once a mortal Delphox, with obviously an expertise in alchemy, with her goal being to make an immortality elixir… but that did not work the way she intended, as the potion she handled was too volatile, so it caused a massive explosion, killing her in the process. Even though she died, the “failed” elixir got into her body, which prevented her soul to go to the afterlife, therefore she’s stuck as a ghost for who knows how long. Centuries later, she adapted well to her new “life” as a wandering spirit. However, her past life as alchemist later inspired her to pursue a career in modern chemistry, which technically derived from what she did back when she was alive. Right now she lives in Martagon City along with many other different races like demons, angels, genies, etc., with her current main job of a chemist and her part-time work as a science and history teacher in one of the city’s schools.
