The enormous and imposing figure of a slender alien with strikingly feminine features, dressed in red and wearing a yellow robe, surprised and terrified all the humans who could see her with their own eyes. There were millions of humans scattered across a vast region dotted with densely populated cities and towns, connected by highways and various paths that wound through wilderness and mountains. The mere presence of the giantess, whose aura was that of an all-powerful goddess, intimidated the tiny, harmless humans, who were the size of pathetic, worthless mites.
It seemed the giantess was fully aware of her surroundings and her current size, for she gazed down, even at those who inhabited this world that must have seemed far too small to her. But it didn't seem to matter to her at all. Her gaze was calm and relaxed, her emerald-green eyes slightly narrowed, a smile playing on her lips. It wasn't malice or cruelty per se, but a certain indifference, apathy, and disregard could be seen in that carefree face. Of course, why would someone of such monumental size and stature even pay the slightest attention to beings that are little more than germs, invisible to the naked eye? That would be a waste of mental and physical effort.
The important thing for the giantess was simply to walk. The enormous goddess's bare feet, red, covered in a peach-colored skin that accentuated their fleshy appearance, with soft soles, yet dirty and sweaty, cracked the surface of planet Earth with each step, consequently causing massive earthquakes that shook the ground with brutal force. They were slow, heavy, and somewhat lazy steps, a deliberately slow walk.
The left foot rose above an area densely populated by millions of humans who, to the misfortune of these poor little bastards, were directly in the path of the giant goddess, shaken by the imposing continental size and the earthquakes of each monumental step, each movement, the slightest, displacing the air. They ran, they fled in terror, they hid wherever they could. But their lives, however much they tried to save them, were already condemned to be erased and to remain in existential oblivion for all eternity.
Then, the foot fell.
It seemed to be slow; the humans could see the buildings crumble as their fleshy soles made contact. They looked at each other one last time, each face etched with terror, knowing this was the end of the line. Darkness engulfed them, and they felt nothing more.
KRAAATHOOOM!
"Hmm... wow, that felt really good... maybe too much GOOD."
Lara-Le sighed with satisfaction as she felt the ground give way beneath her weight. It was as if she had stepped on damp sand on a hot day at the beach, where she was often barefoot. She let her foot leave a trail, applying pressure and more weight, wanting to feel everything compress. The earth shifted and sank even further at the will of the giant girl from Mobian. Then, she proceeded to lift her foot to observe the juicy result of her casual step.
Large chunks of earth and debris broke away from the sole of the foot as it stood up and separated from the surface of the footprint. The same happened with several drops of copious sweat, creating saline and toxic lakes, the only source of water beyond the dried-up remains of ancient riverbeds and basins that had evaporated. A great quantity of dust rose like a dark cloud into the sky, obscuring the surroundings. In the footprint, or rather, the colossal crater that was a new, highly unusual, and unique geological formation, the layout of the streets of what had once been numerous cities was imprinted, along with the crushed highways filled with cars compacted like scrap metal. Of the humans, millions of innocent souls who vanished, only their numerous bloody, mushy remains, mixed with musk, sweat, and earth, remain as a reminder.
She flexed the sole of her foot and her toes, letting more debris fall like rain.
"Heh, not bad... now that's a good footprint. Well done, Lara-Le."
Lara-Le felt proud of her masterpiece, created with a single footstep, even if it came at the cost of so many lives irretrievably lost. But that was just collateral damage, not to be taken into account. After all, they're just bugs, tiny bugs. Her smile widened, knowing she could create more characters, and more perfectly formed ones at that.
"Well... there's still quite a lot to crush in this place."
She spoke with confidence, sure and determined about her next steps.
