I am proud to finally present the refsheet for Di's corrupted form. His original design had only a corrupted form so this is the oldest and most recognizable version of him! It's crazy to see how far he has come since the first times I drew him in ~2007. I'm very, very happy with how he has turned out!
When I posted the ref for his pure form, I said there would be three refsheets for him. That's because he rarely ever appears as fully corrupted or pure - his typical appearance is a blend of the two in a piebald fashion. I intended to make a third ref that would act as an example of the blended appearance, but I've decided to forego that! Instead. I'll just depict that in art. So this concludes the ref series for Di, I hope you like it!

I remember his design from the '07 ish range and you're right, it's impressive how much he's changed! All while his core feeling/trait ideas have stayed the same. c: I don't think I have ever commented on your work before now here on FA, but seeing Di....man it brought me back to a piece of fanart I did of him aaaaaaages ago.

Aw gosh thank you so much for such a nice comment! It really fills my heart with joy for someone to remember him from the old days and think this new design stays true to the original ideas. Gosh I think your gift art may be lost to time ;o; I was foolish back then and didn't save them to my PC because for some reason I thought they'd just be on dA forever or something! But also going back to that old account I got to look at some old character references and I can tell when I was trying to do the same sort of reference sheets you were doing. It's a throwback for sure to look at that account.

Hell, even going through school there were people I met that knew of your work and we'd all just gush over it. I really do hope life has been treating you well since the Darksiders days! (I think that was you? Who did some design work for Darksiders as well?)

Di has certainly evolved over the years, the corruption is intense, I love how the markings along his neck vary as well which is really cool and a neat touch to the (tusks? fangs?) always varying in size amongst the fleshy jaw muscle. I love your designs and always admired your art for years! <3
