One of our local furs, Sparrow (a rabbit), does occasional movie nights, and one time he showed us the very pretty, somewhat surreal, stop-motion movie, "Blood Tea and Red String."

This was my first attempt at icing and decorating a cake, back in 2007, and I've gotten a bit better. I think if I did this again it wouldn't have all those cake flecks in the icing (spread outward from the center, never back-track.)

One durp-durp mistake ?i made was in the icing -- the little starbursts piped around the outside are starting to melt and run, this is still in my kitchen. Embarrassing. The Great Stupidity--it's piped-on buttercream icing, and...I forgot the butter. Doh! So the icing was water-soluble and very heat sensitive. Another mistake I won't make again!
