"Tap, tap, tap. A pause.. Then another tap, tap. Jericho's finger working diligently across his data pad, entering the various codes stamped on the crates in front of him. Taking inventory for the next cargo run wasn't exactly a glamorous task, but it needed to be done and Jericho didn't mind all that much. Being down by the cargo hold, with the soft hum of machinery and various on-goings echoing in the distance, it was easy to focus in on the job before him. Before long, after entering his asymmetrical rhythm of taps, the shipment was in order and everything accounted for. Tap, tap.. Beep! "Report Sent" the pad chirped at him. Closing the screen and setting the pad down on, Jericho slowly exhaled, leaning in on the final crate for a bit of mental relief. Glancing around the cargo bay, he saw a few of the others shifting about, still in the midst of their assignments. "Hmm, still awhile before we lift off. What to do with this bit of down time I've found myself." Jericho said to himself. Tap, tap, tap, his nails clacking along the edge of the crate. "Hmmm" Jericho wondered a few ideas."
Another little slice on the day to day of a cargo running, as there's a lot of preparations to make before lift off. I do wonder what he'll do with that bit of down time tho.
