Originally, the xácara was a kind of satyre that was performed on theater plays, it usually depicted morally questionable guys or straight up criminals 💀.
It eventually was musicalized and it became a popular song/dance.
Personally I love this kind of song, it really manages to sound very agressive even if you just play the accompaniment.
