My take on a vampire Eddie AU since they seem to have remained popular :)
I was never one of the people who actually believed Eddie was going to come back as a vampire/as "Kas"/not be dead/whatever, but it's fun to imagine now the show's over lol.
I based his design on the "bats" that attack him in the upside-down. A lot of versions of this AU just give him wings or fangs (which is completely fine!), but I wanted to try and design something in the style of the show. I was debating whether or not he should have eyes since the creatures in the upside-down don't have any, no eyes would've been cuter, but I think his little eyes look nice and creepy haha

Some facts about this AU!
- he can’t speak, he communicates by chirping and roaring, same as a demogorgon
- it’s not known how much of his original personality and/or memories remain, he still seems to be afraid of confrontation and appears to recognise Dustin, but often acts with animalistic instincts
- has a craving for raw meat
- is able to walk on all fours like a demodog or on his wings like a ‘bat’
- his eyesight doesn’t seem to be very good
- is he connected to the mind flayer’s hive mind? If he is it’s not like he can tell anyone about it like Will. He does operate on his own accord, but is sensitive to heat. Perhaps not fully flayed, just… peeled
- Dustin still tries to play D&D with him, but it’s not really working out. He’s engaged in the storylines but he can’t communicate well, despite Dustin’s attempts at making accommodations
SEASON 5 SPOILERS BELOW
- the Party discovered him during a crawl, Hopper almost killed him at first
- lives hidden in the radio tower, it’s usually Steve’s job to look after him
