Imagicon '25 ND State Fair Center
A furry named Hallow, I believe she's a Skulldog. A rainbow Skulldog! I always liked the way her bandanna shows up in this picture. This picture had the perfect environment to delete the entire body, minus the face, ears, hair, fingers, and pads. Matte black doesn't stand a chance on a high contrast polaroid. And it looks great for it!
This was taken with filtered sunlight.

I just need to get away from my gaming table long enough to take more pictures! There's only a few from last year because there was only sun for the skylights for the second half of the last day.
I'm going to post some stuff from earlier years too, there's a huge difference in quality. I learned a lot.

Oh man, I was obsessed with YuGiOh as a kid, I need to get back into that. The game I was running is like D&D combat on a modular board with figures. It's fun, but I've got to convince people to try it.
I've always loved photography, but I haven't been able to do much with it. I don't have a serious camera, just my Polaroid.

Heroscape is the name of the game I have. A little expensive to get into now because it went out of business for like 10 years before coming back, both the new and old stuff is spendy. But I got into it when it was new when I was a kid. My mom is a toy designer, and they all played it on lunch break. So we got into it.
As for where to play... good luck. Come to Imagicon in Minot this April I guess lol I'll bring my game again.
I just got a new Polaroid on clearance at Walmart, too! Not as artful, but it'll focus indoor. My goofy ass will be walking around with two instant cameras like a photographer lol

A toy designer thats really cool! And hmm i know it probably isnt the same but almost reminds me of when i use to play this tabletop game called Heroclix, Collectible lil figures ya form teams with and dice all that jazz. lol one day ill end up at some kinda con again hopefully. whats Imagicon?
Ha! oh yeah gotta look the part but cant go wrong on clearance for sure and indoor work works =P
I use to use some kinda camera at my old job but it was all set up when i got there otherwise I wouldnt have known how to use it without a butt load of google searches

Heeoclix looks very similar, with a simpler board and just comic characters. Heroscape actually did a Marvel set, that I have. I don't usually run it, because the characters are crazy powerful, but I could.
Imagicon is our local comic con out here! Not very big, but has good events, vendors, guests, and is growing every year. All my Polaroids I've posted here were taken there. I've mostly posted the furry stuff, for interest on this site, I have far more. It's not just a furry con, but there's a considerable local scene. They show up to the con in suit, and parade. Couple vendors.
I'd love to have a camera with more settings than I know how to use, so I can learn on it. Someday, someday...

I could imagine they are crazy powerful in that but yeah it use to be pretty fun going into the lil game shop and playing that stuff and other games with friends
and thats really cool specially something local. Ive been to a comic con where i use to live twice and it was nice to see all the costumes and things around dunno if theres nearby things here now.
And oh yeah thatd be fun for ya im sure, and youll find and get one ya like eventually i believe it ^^
When ya do, whatdya think some of the first things youll want to shoot with it?

You know, I've had the idea of taking my game set to a local game shop like that. Set up public games on a weekly basis, it would be fun.
I'm sure there's a con by you somewhere! I live in a city of 50k in one of the lowest population states and there's one here. Somehow I had never gone to one until I moved here!
I would end up taking pictures of cars first, regardless. That's most of what I shoot, I'm at so many meets and shows. But I really want one for the art you find in the ordinary. City scapes, prairies, gardens, scrap yards, vehicles, sky. There's art around us all the time, a photographer just has to be able to see it and capture it.

Yeah! thatd be a sweet idea and might even bring other people in curious about it ^^
Mmm i live in a very small town but there miiight be one sometimes like an hour away in the big kinda city. ill have to look it up, and thats great ya were able to there!
And cars sound good, is what i did for a job awhile back =P
But yeah thats right! i like that idea for not only catching those things in the moment but exploring to find them

I live in the nearest town, so to speak. We have a Walmart. 4th biggest city in the state, but the entire state has 1/3 the population of the county I was born in. So my perspective is way off.
What did you do with cars for a living? Auto tech stuff? Now I'll really never shut up. Check out the picture of my Buick I posted! Now that's a car!
I do miss taking trips or going on hikes just to get pictures. I've been thinking about it lately, in relation to all the art on this site. Photography isn't just observing and capturing what you see. It is an act of creation, too. This image never existed, you couldn't walk around the con and see this. I had to create it with the right lighting conditions, the right exposure, the right film, and the right subject. When you're doing it right, photography is expression in much the same way that drawing is.

Ah no worries there ^^
And Ha hey i dont mind talking so feel free, but no, Auto tech kinda flies right over my head unless i research it a bit lol. Do ya know much about it?
At the dearlership I started out as a lot attendant/security/whatever they needed lol. but ended up getting into Washing and Detailing our Inventory, the new and used cars, taking photos of the interior, putting em on a turntable for the outside shots and after editing posting them with the info on the companies website.
the Buick is freaking awesome though! I always wanted
a black 1967 Chevrolet Impala after watching supernatural or a Chevy Chevelle with the lil stripes =P
And ya know that makes alot of sense there. Without people taking photos and the work and time put in to make them stand out we really wouldn't have some of the best moments, scenery, etc captured forever.
Does sound alot like drawing ^^
