A very crude rendition of the Crown of Siva's holdings in whatever arm of whatever galaxy it's in (I've already made up my mind that it isn't a GALAXY spanning empire, and I'm also not sure yet if it will have come in contact with other alien races yet, so right now this is what we have).
I used this handy tool to get a general layout of the stars then superimposed a generic picture of a galactic arm in the backdrop on Paint.net, and then connected the hyperspace lanes and added the labels. I also included stellar classifications of the stars in each system (which are given in the order of the star in each system, A/B/C, for example).
For those stars with much more massive and unforgiving environments, you can see that the populations are a lot smaller as they're probably only composed of simple stations or scientific posts, and/or they haven't been colonized long enough to have a massive population (for example, Ibra, which is mentioned in Chapter Four as having celebrated its Golden Jubilee, so a mere fifty years).
Anyway, I just thought I'd put this together to continue the worldbuilding of the Crown of Siva, and just to show what an uphill battle the Confederacy is fighting. It doesn't even fully control any of the systems that are inhabited by the Sivathi, just merely with a sympathies/token presence in two and an active civil war on the home system. That will make it all the more sweet should the Confederacy of Liberation emerge victorious. Nonetheless, the fact that all their sympathies are concentrated in systems where the major populations are located is a statement in and of itself, and that the movement has gained traction.
Would love any feedback! I'm not an astronomer by any means, so please educate me if you find anything amiss in the map.
