The size of this friendly mollusk reminded me of Teeny Weeny's racing snail from 1984's "The Neverending Story". This one wasn't going anywhere fast and quietly posed for this photo.
I shot these photos at the “Wild Lights” special event at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas. Asian lantern sculptures are scattered throughout the zoo. The theme for 2025 was "Journey Through a Magical Forest"
