This is a very small animal that lives near lakes. Its fish body can dry out to the bone, but quickly regenerates when exposed to water. It's known that by stuffing its belly with fish, the deer "dehydrates" its food reserves and survives on this. Its favorite food is chicks, which are drawn to the light and warmth of a fish lantern.
