i always felt it was one of those "edge of your seat" type books so that's what I was going for. also wanted something that would be available and popular in Rocky & Jimmy's timeline which feels around 100-ish old.

considering it is a slow burn story, it actually works as a bedtime story and trust me, it has more cliffhangers than a mountain convention :)

Regarding the word intellectual... I especially loved how the key to the Count's newfound power was not only the wealth he found but the education he received while imprisoned with Abbé Faria. Knowledge is power.
