A finales de 2025, mi mamá quería ver Zootopia 2, así que busqué la película en línea y planeé para verla en fin de año. La puse y mi mamá se quedó dormida durante media película, así que la puse otra vez tras despertarse y nos gustó a ambos.

Después de ver la película por segunda vez, me hizo darme cuenta de algo que me llamó la atención.
Amé a Pawbert, era un personaje bastante complejo; tenía personalidad, intereses, inseguridades y conflictos familiares; pensé que iba a ser bueno, pero me decepcioné cuando lo convirtieron en el villano de giro (cosa que no se ve bien en películas de Disney actuales). Él tenía una relación tóxica con su familia, especialmente con su padre, Milton. Creo que Pawbert tenía un grave problema psicológico que lo hacía llorar por dentro, que lo impedía ser feliz, ser libre, ser diferente y tratar de hacer lo correcto, desesperado en ser aceptado por un monstruo llamado "padre".

Comenté la situación de Pawbert con mi mamá sobre si merece otra oportunidad, ella estuvo en desacuerdo y entiendo su punto. Planear una traición e intentar asesinar a Judy y sus amigos no es justificable... pero él no merecía un final así.

Pawbert tenía la oportunidad de redimirse y cambiar, pero sus daddy issues y obviamente Disney no lo permitieron. ¿Era un villano forzado o necesario para extender su lore en Zootopia?

Yo creo que este es el dibujo más dramático que he hecho hasta ahora.

At the end of 2025, my mom wanted to watch Zootopia 2, so I searched the movie online and planned to watch it on New Year's Eve. I put it on, and my mom fell asleep halfway through, so I put it on again after she woke up, and we both enjoyed it.

After watching the movie a second time, something caught my attention.

I loved Pawbert, he was quite a complex character; he had a personality, likes, insecurities, and family issues. I thought he was going to be a good guy, but I was disappointed when they turned him into the twist villain (something that doesn't look good in current Disney movies). He had a toxic relationship with his family, especially with his dad, Milton. I think Pawbert had a serious psychological problem that made him cry inside, that prevented him from being happy, being free, being different, and from trying to do the right thing, desperate to be accepted by a monster called "daddy".

I discussed Pawbert's situation with my mom about if he deserves another chance. She disagreed, and I understand her point. I can't justify the fact that he planned a betrayal and tried to murder Judy and her friends... but he didn't deserve an ending like that.

Pawbert had the opportunity to redeem himself and change, but his daddy issues and Disney didn't let him. Was he a forced or necessary villa to expand his lore in Zootopia?

I think this is the most dramatic drawing I've made so far.
