A continuation of Laiho's story. Here, the lion-snake guardian is running alongside my personal totem beast — the Maned Wolf.

I found some interesting information and I want to share it with you. Despite their name and appearance, Maned Wolves are neither wolves nor foxes. They are a distinct species (genus Chrysocyon, meaning "golden dog"). They are the tallest wild canines in South America and possess incredibly long legs, often earning them the nickname "a fox on stilts." These legs help them see above the tall grass in their natural habitat.

Это уникальный реликтовый вид (Chrysocyon — «золотая собака»). У них удивительно длинные ноги, из-за чего их часто называют «лисой на ходулях». Такая анатомия нужна им не для быстрого бега, а чтобы обозревать окрестности поверх высокой травы в южноамериканских пампасах.
