And here is the poster for the finale and epilogue of my 4 year long, dearly loved TTRPG, Remnants of the Eye. In it, players raced to rebuild and then fought over the Eye of Isaryn, a device capable of reshaping and fixing the broken world of Ethria. Different factions desired different things of it, and the party ended up splitting up over their goals, making for a dramatic final confrontation!
Pictured (left to right, top to bottom)...
Isaryn, Aspect of Order: an antagonistic force of the world who wanted nothing more than to gain the ability to create as a mortal. By being physically manifested, they could have shaped the fabric of the world in their image. Though Isaryn never ended up being the main evil of the story, they were a constant thematic presence throughout.
Zenix, Aspect of Soul: former mortal king of Elysium, he ended up attaining a confusing form of divinity at the time of his death. As the party was unable to vanquish him completely, he was able to fulfill his plan and promise to the world. The game ended with him physically manifesting everyone's souls, making them all immortal spirits.
Kari (mostly a dragon): a PC who worked alongside Zenix and who had been highly influenced by Isaryn. She ended up being the emotional core of Zenix's plan and encouraged him to not give up on himself, even after all the mistakes he had made and wrongs he had committed. After the events of the game, she is now looking to explore Ethria's secrets and to unite the world with the knowledge she finds.
Anzi (dragon): a PC once bearing a legacy of Elysium's darkest scientific exploitation, they eventually found their own destiny. By carving out their essence and replacing it with starlight, they connected with an ideal that was more fulfilling and grounded than the reality-shattering truths they had come to fear. After all the events of the story, they are happy to enjoy the peaceful life with their newfound family.
Ki'yrse (snake): a PC who was once a half of a whole. For a time, Ki'yrse and her counterpart, Av'adae mirrored the duality of Isaryn and Zyrasi, but both Ki'yrse and Av'adae distinguished themselves from this. Ki'yrse, in particular, became a weird creature with a hunger to learn more. She hopes to become an engineer!
Av'adae (snake): the other snake PC! After she and Ki'yrse split, she chose to join Elysium alongside Kari, hoping that Zenix's plan would honor a promise that she once made to her parents. Although she nearly lost herself many times along the way with violence and deceit, she eventually found a way to be proud of her decisions and the outcome of the events. She's now investigating political theory and learning from the mistakes of Elysium and other nations past.
Deima (moth and dragon): our last PC who was once a rambunctious spitfire of a moth, now turned part-time dragon. She has since had her soul bound with Aenith and the two are basically inseparable. Of the party, she most adamantly opposed Zenix's authority and the right he claimed to determine the fate of the entire world, and she fought tirelessly with a resistance force against it. By the end, both she and Aenith realized their bonds to each other would survive whatever fate the world had in store and that there was no shame to stop fighting and enjoy what they have.
Aenith (dragon): as the unwitting cause of an apocalypse that had nearly destroyed the world 3 centuries ago, he had struggled to live with the depressing consequences. Just as he was on the verge of giving up on his ability to help the world, Kari and Deima inspired him to continue caring and fighting for it. Though more mellow and tender in his older age, he's still rather rash and a bit of a dork.
Eradinus, of the Eastern Stars (dragon): a starscale theater kid who, at first, tried to trick and mislead the party into following their plan. They wanted to reduce the potency of magic, preventing the dramatic imbalances they had seen in the world. They were never able to see their plan come to fruition, so they became a supportive member of the party in their endeavors.
As always, Weisser is an incredible gift to my settings and ideas. If you haven't checked out his art over at

For those who are curious, this game was ran in a system of my own design (with help and co-creation from my players and partners!), called Empyrean. There is no official material for it yet, but it is heavily designed around being a roleplay-focused system. The ability to create unique abilities and powers is left to the players and storyteller/DM, helping to provide good framework for any setting with niche magic rules. Hopefully, I will be releasing a rulebook for this some day!
