DOG NEEDS SURGERY: PLEASE HELP
Immediately piggybacking off of my older dog passing away in August, my younger dog is in need of surgery. What was thought to be three masses turned out to be five, and the surgeon wants to remove them while they're all benign. Thankfully this time, she won't need a CT scan so we won't need to raise almost double the funds BUT we never really dug out of the hole when Sundance was put to rest.
Even more unfortunately, we don't qualify for Scratch pay or Care Credit yet again, despite having decent credit and not making much money. Pet Insurance also won't cover or reimburse anything since we had one of the lumps checked, therefore making it a 'pre-existing condition'. It's growing irksome. That said, while we do have some meager savings, it's not enough to cover the surgery.
I really do hate to ask yet again for a massive fundraiser but I really cannot lose another dog to what was the precursor for my first dog's death. They said they can 'secure' a surgery for the high-end listed, which is still $2881 and we'd need to cover the high-end which is $3839. It might cost the low end, but they won't know until they get in there/how long the surgery will take.
So, I'm fundraising for an even $4000 since bloodwork is required and is another $200 minimum.
If you cannot donate, PLEASE consider sharing the post if nothing else: https://bsky.app/profile/lilythekit...../3mchtcfvnts24
