Collab piece time, but again! Featuring Sol from  SolarScourge >:Dc
After I received my Val-Faen design translation (seen in This Post), me and some friend groups were absolutely HOWLING over how much we enjoyed it, our various MH characters, and the media in general for giving us such great creatures as Valstrax, or Garuba Daora, wow... and well,  SolarScourge approached me with collabing intent, and we both looked at our buddy Rando with commissioning intent, and the rest is history! Our very first commission with him, but one that all three of us were so enthusiastic to explore all the way to the end.

Rando truly poured his heart and soul into this. A most fine gentleman who both values what makes Monster Hunter and characters within there so heartfelt and alive as characters, and that entire sense of comradery and friendship and well, homeliness at its heart! And perhaps just as importantly, also values how handsome and elegant an elder dragon can be as seen on his own characters. Look at Sol and Val-Faen here, aaahh! Just THE most expressive dragons on this stretch of Elgado, assumedly, and ever so happy to share an evening together - even if Val-Faen is somewhat struggling to keep his bulk in there... I said what I said in the linked post up there of his Valstrax design, he is a Very Tall Boy.

Rando also managed to convey such quality in the artwork itself, from the yellow light suffusing the scene from the lamps in the background, or the little character features from Sol's crystal horns to Val-Faen's glowing bioluminescent markings and gill slits, aah! He captured the subtleties of it so well, my two favorite little details from my character have got to be how Val-Faen is holding himself (or the table's roof/umbrella? :0) in place with one arm, or how absolutely bendy that long Valstrax neck is. Truly, a radiant piece. 💚
