day sixteeeeeeeeeen~!
i drew this one while rewatching Heathers for research purposes haha (you'll see in a couple weeks). my mom was the one to suggest he be drawn with a tombstone since she thought i was doing spooky art all month. ended up being perfect >:3c
anyways mugwort!! my sweet baby boy who goes through The Horrors.
the protagonist of ASHES, he's a religious kid who becomes a blooddrinker, (something the god, Diurne, wants eradicated) at a young age. because of his father's intervention, he's allowed to live and ends up alone for four years before saving Hone's life. he ultimately accompanies him to find answers about the fire on his chest and in the process gets dragged around the sun's reach protecting his new friend, who happens to be the phoenix reborn :D
i could babble about him forever but i'd like to keep SOME mystery, SOME intrigue for when ASHES gets going. gotta keep some things hushhush! but for now, i associate muggoboy with blue butterflies, so they're often in artwork of his!
the flower on the ground is a fictional one called a sun's tear!
