Time to quit procrastinating, and get back to it.
I've thought it over, and I want to redesign the eyes. I like what I have, I've learned a lot from them, but they're too orange. They should be more red, I love red eyes too much.

Somehow the vinyl printer turned my red image into orange. I had a few ideas why, and prepared some test images to find out how I could change that. I can mostly gloss over my images, because they didn't work. What did work was the printing company's images (top). They applied a red filter over my original image, with a dramatically reduced R value, keeping the G0 and B0. This is further corroborated by the only slightly improved image of mine, having had a reduced R value.
I am going to rework my original image with the new values provided, and a set even lower for good measure. I'll also change the inner and outer lines to a near black. Working with the drill and mesh taught me just how much detail is lost in the process. High contrast is my friend.
On to the next, and hopefully final iteration!
